Residents are invited to submit a photo featuring “our amazing employees or related to public works” for possible inclusion in the 2027 calendar

Want to have your photographic skills on display together with depictions of Big Truck Day, the street sweeping schedule and warnings not to dump FOG (Fats, Oil and Grease) down the drain?
Preparations are now underway for the Baltimore Department of Public Works’ free give-away calendar, and this year the agency is inviting people to submit content for a mailing that comes whether citizens want it or not.
(Some eagerly await the calendar. Others find it irritating. Like cilantro, these things generate strong feelings.)
“DPW is inviting residents to submit their photos for a chance to be featured in our 2027 DPW Calendar!” an announcement released today declares.
“Have a great photo that captures the beauty, people, and moments with our amazing employees or related to public works?” the call-out asks.
Calendar-immortality hopefuls are encouraged to go to this link to submit a photo for a chance to be featured.
Hurry, the deadline for submission is close at hand – August 28.
